Optometry Coordinator - NT

In this role, you will support optometrists providing eye care services in remote communities across the Northern Territory ensuring that vision care is accessible to those in need.

This role is for a young indigenous person who wants to get their foot in the door and gain valuable experience whilst earning an attractive salary.

Mon - Friday 38hours a week - $31.93ph ($63k a year)

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate logistics and administration for optometry clinics.

• Build strong relationships with Aboriginal communities and health workers.

• Assist with travel and scheduling for outreach services.

• Provide on-the-ground support to ensure smooth clinic operations.

• Occasionally assist with outreach in other regions.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

• Safe 4WD driving experience or willingness to obtain a certificate.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical databases.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Current NT driver's license or ability to obtain.

• Ochre Card (Working with Children) and First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain).
